Our Mission
To provide a child and their caregiver(s) an individualized rehabilitation
program that meets the child's special needs whereby program goals incorporate
the functional needs and wishes of the children and their caregivers, and are
developed by a highly qualified team of physical, occupational and speech
language pathologists.
Our History
Our Children’s Rehab Center was established in 1986 (then known as CSI Rehab)
to serve the therapy needs of the Polk County pediatric population. In 2002, Our
Children’s Rehab Center became a non-profit corporation eligible to receive tax
deductible public and private donations.
Our Team
Specially trained and licensed speech-language pathologists, physical and
occupational therapists develop and implement innovative programs and services
for newborns, infants, toddlers and children through 18 years of age.
Our Commitment
All professionals, support staff, and administrators are committed to
providing a caring and supportive environment. Our surroundings are designed to
encourage the achievement of therapeutic goals and help our children flourish.
Collaboration
Our program offers an integrated approach emphasizing team work between all
therapy disciplines. Parents are integral to our program and are encouraged to
actively participate in the child’s treatment. Care conferences allow parents,
therapists, educators, and medical professionals the opportunity to develop a
comprehensive plan of care that addresses all the child’s needs. Observation
rooms are available for parents to view their child’s therapy. Parents are also
invited to attend the sessions with their child.
